How Review Works

Nothing enters the Sentrix database without a person on the Sentrix staff team approving it. Here's the path from report to flag, and back out again.

Report

A moderator in a protected server runs /report user or /report server with a category, a reason, and evidence such as message links or a screenshot.

Staff review

The report goes to Sentrix staff, who approve or deny it. If they need more, they open a ticket and message the reporter directly.

Flag & protect

An approved report becomes a flag. Every protected server the user is already in, or joins later, applies its own chosen action.

Appeal

Flagged users can appeal on this site. If staff accept, the flags they remove stop applying, and Sentrix lifts its bans once no flags remain.

Flag categories

Each server chooses which categories it acts on with /sentrix categories.

What each server decides

  • Alert: post a notice in the server's log channel.
  • Quarantine: give a restricted role, then alert.
  • Kick or ban the flagged user.
  • Whitelist specific users to exempt them in that server.

Sentrix supplies the information. Each community decides what to do with it.

Blacklist

Accounts with several active flags (3 by default) are added to the Sentrix blacklist and can no longer appeal. Staff can also blacklist an account directly. Only staff can remove someone from the blacklist.

Removal & expungement

When an appeal is accepted, the flags staff choose are revoked. They stop applying but stay in staff history. In rare cases, the Sentrix project lead can expunge a user, permanently deleting their flags and appeals and keeping only an audit line.
